Reviews for Travel by Train and Yosa Buson/Zany Zongas,

Yosa Buson and the Zany Zongas - Intercession - "The first, a collab from Zany Zongas & Yosa Buson, is heavy and menacing...Basically, this tape is molten thick drone and fucking cool all down the line." -Cassette Gods

"Because of the length they get to really take the listener on a sonic journey in a very progressive rock sorta way. As usual I was reading something during my first listen, namely Kafka's diaries, and it really made me bug out a bit." - SpaceRockMountain

Travel by Train - Strings - "As a listener (and guitar player) I love the low to high ascendency of the album as a whole. TBT's right on the money with this concept and executed the performance/production perfectly."

-Cassette Gods

Cheers for The Drunken Draculas

The Drunken Draculas are prepping the release of their lo-fi epic, "Dead Sounds," but have picked up some good reviews in the last few months.

"A subtle garage rock sound that reminds me of King Khan and BBQ Show where the fits of shouts are concentrated in the songs tastefully. Sweetly lo-fidelity and cutely funny lyrically I was happy to have received Start Sucking!" - SpaceRockMountain

"Lo-fi garage rock done right: with a sense of humor!" - Real Garage Rock Zine

Here is their most recent music video for "The Tranny Was a Zombie!"

Alcolades for the New Zany Zongas record

The Zany Zongas' new record, North Park, has received good reviews from critics and fans alike. This is what people are saying about their new psychedelic experience.

"The music of Zany Zongas immediately brings easily noted similiarities with the Finnish avant-garde I'm so fond of like Paavoharju and Kemialliset Ystävät...Can't recommend enough checking out this album with the biggest headphones you got." - SpaceRockMounatain

"Zany Zongas' tape is titled Northpark (one of the neighborhoods in San Diego) and their LSD on the beach sound is improvised metallic guitar ooze...The music is dark, reflective, inward aiming, and causes me to sit back with my eyes closed daydreaming at sunset. The second piece, "Ahadu," is my favorite on first go around. The guitars approximate swirling light shows and somewhere deep in my mind a hippie woman is twirling barefoot." - Cassette Gods

"The best thing I have heard this year." - Charles McCormick

The Drunken Draculas...in Surfin' Mummy! (OMR3)

Released on Halloween last year, the new Drunken Draculas EP is filled with more trashy lo-fi garage jams to do the Monster Mash to. A few tapes remain, and MP3s are free to download.
